Portrait of a Fiddle Leaf Fig Painting

Many of the artists I love and adore do a mixture of still life and of portraits, and I thought perhaps I would do the tree as sitter. This is a lighthearted portrait of a trendy house plant I've somehow managed to keep alive in my home. The leaves were the biggest challenge as the move this way and that. They're a bit cheeky in their angles. The couch was a challenge as well and I think it was a good learning experience.
