ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Portrait of a woman painted on cavas: this is a series of works created as a study and research of a type of realistic painting that, starting from the detailed representation of reality, tries to convey memories and emotions onto the canvas through random brushstrokes and palette knife strokes made afterwards the realization of the portrait, instead of the finishing touches. Furthermore, on this painting, as if it were a blackboard, I copied the equation relating to the heisenberg principle of uncertainty. That uncertainty principle states that we cannot know both the position and speed of a particle, such as an electron, with perfect accuracy; the more we nail down the particle's position, the less we know about its speed and vice versa. Personally I find a certain relationship between this principle and memories. Please note: The canvas of this painting is not mounted on a frame and will be shipped rolled in a tube
