The artist draws inspiration from the vastness and dynamism of the natural world, particularly the ocean. The boundless sea and the open sky embody an immense sense of freedom and the lone seagull in the painting symbolizes the individual's journey and the pursuit of personal freedom. Perhaps he was also expressing personal experiences and emotions related to overcoming challenges and embracing freedom. The powerful waves might symbolize life's struggles, while the soaring bird represents triumph and resilience. The serene sky and turbulent waves create a dynamic contrast that highlights the constant interplay between peace and struggle, mirroring the complexities of the pursuit of freedom.
