About The Artwork

Completed Oct. 10. 2021. Abstract Acrylic Painting. Sides will be painted to match artwork. Use of Gallery Wrapped Cotton Canvas 16 x 20 x 1.5. (4 Primer Layers & 4 Main Layers applied) I like building my canvases with layers of paint with my palette knives. There is a richness by doing this for this painting and many of the paintings I paint. The top layer has several bold unique patterns I have created. I have added character and texture and a feeling of depth for the canvas piece having 3 other layers underneath the top layer which peers through in sections. By doing this I feel the painting is opening doors so to speak in small ways to discover the movements of the palette knives I used. The main colors are Orange, Orange Yellow, Yellow, Bright Aqua Green & Gold which I have used frequently with other paintings. The additional colors & touches of color are of Dark Blue and small touches of Red. I have created purposeful line patterns & boxes & dots to build more definition to the canvas and to break up the other patterns I have created which I feel blends them all together in the end. In this case with this painting-the patterns truly come across as very primitive. There are small details to discover in the painting. I wanted to create freely with different patterns and movements in this painting as I have with many of my other paintings. 2 Vertical hangings on the backside and 2 Horizontal hangings on the backside. Felt pads on 4 corners to protect the wall. Golden Professional Archival Gloss Varnish Spray has been applied to protect the painting. Certificate of Authenticity included 1/1. **The colors in my photos are as exact as can be. When I posted this painting-I had the painting sitting next to me to make sure the colors looked exactly right. I used a Apple i-Pad Tablet to take these photos. **Lighting will be important for this painting or any other painting to bring out the brilliance of the colors. If the room is dull the painting will be dull. Always be aware of the type of lighting in the room the painting will be hanging in. Also, wall colors will be important for paintings as well. Note: I base my pricing on the amount of time span of Painting, Art Supplies used, Amount of paint used, Genre/Composition, and Saatchi's % which is reasonable and good since they are promoting my artwork around the World.
