Contact us.My name is Ronke ladipo, an award winning fashion designer and a self taught Creative Artist from lagos Nigeria. I paint on canvas I create hand painted inspired Padlockbags which doubles as a miniature deco. I’m an alumni of Academy for women Entrepreneurs (2021) in partnership with the US Consulate.
My main passion is Creating and painting. I embrace the challenge of Creativity and believe that my artwork celebrates womanhood and criticise a society I often view as unsafe and sexiest. My work shows a deep concern for social security issues and gender equality especially from where I comes from. this is why I use object like the Padlocks which symbolizes security. I named my body of work “ Agadagodo “ it’s the Yoruba translation for a padlock which symbolises security. In this case, security of the Female Gender and protection in the Nigerian society. I believe that a good design and painting is just not a sketch or a photo but communication with the Society. My Work Style is Portrait painting, Abstract art, metal and leather crafting and my Medium is Acrylic paint. I have Exhibited and Participated in both the local and international fashion shows and exhibitions.
