About The Artwork

This is a four paneled work, each panel measures 36"h x 24" w., so hung horizontally, 36"h x 96"w. The work was inspired by a full moon evening, whereby I observed the flora in a new and exciting way. Lush and evocative, this work of art has flexibility for the collector, as it can be arranged and hung in a variety of ways depending on the space. Double hanging, vertical or horizontal orientations are all acceptable to the artist. You will find it can be fun to change the orientation from time to time just to entertain yourself and your guests! The deep, glimmering quality of the graphite is reminiscent of my original, onsite experience on that inspirational evening. There is a full range of values in grays and blacks, perfect for a large wall and a contemporary setting. Each panel captures something different...two focus mainly on botanical close-ups, and two focus on the flora elements fallen under the water. This will ship in boxes, each panel in a separate box. Everyone that sees this piece falls in love....make it yours!

BORN: New York MEDIA: Paintings, Printmaking, New Media, Photography STUDIO: Connecticut My early exposures to environmental experiences have proved to be the impetus for my artistic focus. Capturing and retracing my journeys in the natural and urban environments result in unexpected juxtapositions. My environmentally focused imagery centrally highlights the fragility of nature in an increasingly technocentric world, through an amalgam of painting, printmaking and contemporary photographic media. Utilizing pattern, light and nuances of the tamed and untamed aspects in my environment enable me to offer an unexpected perception of the landscape. My work is observation-based, with a strong conceptual sensibility and superb craftsmanship. -Nancy McTague-Stock
