Let's not forget beauty in nature, kindness in people, and hope for humanity. Let's not let Springtime pass without notice. As I began to paint I selected a beautiful sky blue enamel as the background and added a rich phthalo blue (green shade). Disc like shapes with contrasting and complimentary colors were added for punch. The lines were an after thought that morphed into a representation of growth and hope. The colors could be described as vivid jewel tones This original painting is 24" x 36" x 1.5". It is unframed but ready to hang.

Nan is a full-time artist currently living on St. George Island - a remote barrier Island in Florida. After years of living in large cities and many corporate relocations, I returned to a coastal family home to decompress and my art career emerged. This was in 2015 and I have never looked back. My inspiration comes from my past and present experiences with people, places, and emotions. I love the creative process, vivid colors, and various textures. And, I often begin abstractions lacking form and see the opportunity to shift to representational qualities even if slight. I easily work for 10 - 12 hour days without struggle. The creative process brings me joy like nothing else. Look for whimsy, color, and lots of paint.
