About The Artwork
Inspired by her promise of serving the country for the rest of her life, 'be it a short or long one'. I hope people feel a warmth toward her, for all she did for the country, and sacrifices that she no doubt made. I chose to paint her from a 1950's official photo and to paint a modernist background that reflected her bold choices of colour in coats and hats and added some metallic golds to add just a little more bling!
