Luis Ángeles Visual artist born in 1984 in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. His work blends tradition and modernity, exploring the Caribbean's cultural richness through color, light, and texture. From an early age, he showed an innate passion for art, starting with comic strips. His artistic development began under the guidance of master Gilberto Cruz, who inspired him to explore both classical and contemporary techniques. He later complemented his training with studies in interior design and photography, broadening his conceptual and aesthetic perspective. With a career spanning over 15 years, he has participated in local and international exhibitions, earning two national awards and several recognitions for his contribution to Dominican art. For more than a decade, he played a key role as a drawing and painting instructor at INFOTEP, sharing his knowledge with young artists and reinforcing his commitment to the social impact of art. His work stands out for its vibrant combination of colors, dynamic textures, and profound narratives, addressing social, cultural, and spiritual themes. He masters a wide range of techniques, from oil and acrylic painting to pencil drawing, creating pieces that range from figurative to abstract. Currently, he is projecting his art to the international market through digital platforms, carrying the cultural essence of the Dominican Republic. Each piece is an invitation to discover new emotions through light, form, and story.
