circumstances as health and economic issues, often discourage living and artistic activity too. That would be one of the sad things in the world. There are so many things I want to draw, but sometimes I suppress myself not to draw. I feel sorry for my family. But I paint because I want to live. The picture is separated from me and the world, see and mediate, becomes a friend, enemy, another being beyond it, becomes me, but it is not me. So maybe that’s why Buddha said believing that something is not me is an illusion and nature is one. This huge system of thought is an inherent power. all of this moves to stop and stops to move. cycle. Transcendence is a circle or nothingness. It's a bit vain. It does not have one fixed form. we love transcendence, but the warmth we're holding now has enormous power too. (October 29, 2023)

Su-Ok was born in Kwangju, South Korea and currently lives in Georgia, United States. She has received a Master degree in Graduate School of Fine Arts from Chonnam National University in South Korea in 2004. She also studied at Graduate School of Horticulture and Life Science for Ph. D Program in 2005. She had lectured several classes in Fine Arts, Theory of Aesthetics in regards to Philosophy in Fine Arts at Seoyeong University (previously known as “Sogang”), Dongshin University and Ewha university in South Korea until 2007. For her career as an Artist, she participated in both solo and group exhibition in Korea. She also has great passion in other forms of Arts. Loves music and held concerts as an alternative Indi-rock band singer song writer. Her art is deeply related to the music. In addition, she’s interested in Oriental Medicine. Her artworks are mainly about nature, humanity, healing and music. Her artistic influencers are artists like; G-DRAGON, LEE JUNG SEOP, Banksy, Bjork, Bonobo, Mew, Kendrick Lama, Yoko Ono, Stanley Donwood, Radiohead.
