Charlotte Schembri

About the Artist

Charlotte Schembri

United States

Charlotte is a multidisciplinary artist based in Austin, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Texas at Austin, where she developed a strong conceptual foundation that continues to shape her practice. Influenced by Austin’s dynamic creative culture, her work reflects a balance of precision, experimentation, and visual impact.

She is best known for her highly realistic charcoal drawings, which capture the quiet intensity and timeless elegance of the monochromatic spectrum. With meticulous attention to detail, she creates hauntingly lifelike landscapes that evoke depth, emotion, and stillness.

Alongside her drawing practice, Charlotte creates geometric, color-driven paintings that explore optical illusion, perception, and spatial tension, as well as portrait photography infused with abstract sensibilities. Her work consistently returns to themes of contrast, structure, and clean lines.

Her experience as an artist’s studio assistant, working with a nationally recognized art company, and participating in gallery events has shaped her professional perspective and deepened her engagement with the contemporary art world.
