Red Shoes at the Door Painting

I was repurposing (painting over) canvases that had the same dimensional rations of my exterior door. This was my inspiration to paint a domestic scene that is common in my modern neighborhood of young families. This is a woman who is trying to be a good wife and mother. It is exhausting work and, although she is engaged, she is also absent at the same time. So often when we are doing important work there is both a joy and a tediousness that is constantly interplays.
