This painting shows the reflection in a forest lake. The sun shines through the trees. There are leaves along the side and on the water, which indicates that autumn is approaching. The size is 100x80cm and is painted with oil paint on Belgian portrait linen which I have prepared myself in a traditional way. Jennie painted this new Impressionist style with thick oil paint. She started developing this new style in 2022 and this is the second in the series. With a size of 100x80cm, this is a painting that the artist has been working on intermittently for several months. The work is both moving because of its color and robust because of its structure. The overall impression is inspiring and transformative. It is an open work with countless strands of waxy and bright colors and brushwork reminiscent of paintings by Monet and Cezanne.
