ABOUT THE ARTWORK
An abstract portrait on paper and mounted on a wood frame. Ready to be hung. I love faces. All the faces in my paintings are strong. My intention is to have every piece of art tell a story. As my work expands into new areas, this particular piece is most emblematic of my transition. I painted it while it France and it is represents my first step in a more abstract form. The story in this man's face is complex, compelling and can be interpreted in so many different ways. Like many of the faces I paint, he also has an of mystery, allowing - and inviting - the viewer to create his/her own story.
