This artwork was created during the Covid 19 lockdown. It was completed on Easter Sunday to mark the rebirth of Christ, hence the name Resurrection. It symbolises the hopes and prayers of countless billions around the world, that the worst will be behind us and we will experience a better world soon.

I started painting as a hobby, in 2011, after quitting the corporate world. I work with a range of art and craft forms and media including Acrylics, Charcoals & Pastels, Mandalas & Doodle-art, Indian Folk-Art, Decoupage, etc. I am fascinated by the deep symbolism of The Tree of Life and, hence, abundant trees, leaves and flowers have been the subjects of most of my work. I have recently started exploring abstract art forms. I find the process of creating art and craft to be highly therapeutic and addictive. Also, very energising when it involves upcycling and re-purposing everyday household objects. As an Integrative Therapist and Life Skills Trainer, I adopt a Mind-Body approach that includes drawings and metaphors for diagnosis as well as for therapeutic benefit.
