About The Artwork
For the lines and texture in the colors in this painting I was inspired by the green marble stone. I wanted to creat a huge painting full of texture and bold paint brush strokes and balance that boldness with few colors although two very contrasting ones - green and pink. The two faces that are fused together are revealing themselves as the viewer keeps on looking and the painting can thus be both flat and deep, figurative and abstract. I used acrylic paint on canvas and finished with a protective varnish spray. The painting is shipped rolled in a tube.

I paint mostly with acrylics on canvas, using bold brush strokes and palette knife to create structures. My art is characterized by vivid colors and clear forms, with a figurative style on the edge of becoming abstract. The human figure and the portrait is a main motif, creating new forms when overlapped and painted in different colors. I play with the borders of figurative and abstract and strive for balance and contrast in color.
