About The Artwork
I wanted to use found objects and left-over supplies, as to not be wasteful . . . I found the wood on the side of the road in a residence's 'bulk trash'. The spray paint, gold leaf, glitter, and lacquer I had left over from a previous fashion project. For some reason, I had in my mind to create a serene landscape . . . the colors lent themselves to a sunrise/sunset over an alpine mountain range . . . Hung in a large room with tons of natural light, the 4-panel work comes to life in a glistening manner - like the surface of water. The effect is meditative and encourages a smile.
