About The Artwork
This painting is a layered image of the Roman Forum from the Palatine Hill that I took on my recent trip to Italy. For the design, in photoshop, I layered it with a splash of blue, the emotion I felt leaving such a beautiful and historical place. I also added a tilt shift/ fake depth-of-field effect because it looked nice and I thought it would be a fun challenge to paint. The third image layered is of a sunset near Sorrento. It creates the highlight that is on the far right of the canvas.
