ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This artwork was a part of the MAG Montreux Biennale 2023 in Switzerland. This artwork is the 1st part of the triptych "Roman Heritage" of a big series of artworks dedicated to the history of Switzerland. You can see Epona in this artwork, the patroness of horses and the goddess of fertility among the Celts. This is the only deity adopted by Rome during the conquest and spread beyond the borders of Gaul. The diverging circles in the picture are a figurative representation of the Roman amphitheater. The artist uses only handmade acrylic colors in her paintings.
