About The Artwork

The image of the rooster has inspired many artists over the centuries, and my interest stems from its sacredness and traditional rituals. From rituals that sometimes unite nations and from rituals that have merged with our religion and co-exist with it. The rooster cult is one of the oldest cults spread in Georgia. The rooster is associated with the sky and the sun, as the bird that heralds the dawn and is considered a bird associated with the sun. The Rooster is also associated with New Year rituals and the equinox. Even in my childhood, in the village, on various church holidays, they would take care of the church three times with a rooster and then sacrifice.

I've been painting since childhood, from the age of 3. Unfortunately, the education system in Georgian schools has a considerable lack of dedication, especially when it comes to a child’s natural interests in a specific field. Luckily I was studying in college, where I had an opportunity to concentrate on setting my plans to find more inspiration and develop my painting skills. After graduating from the art academy and gaining bachelor’s and master’s degrees in painting and digital art, I started working on personal exhibitions and participating in international projects. As a result, I’ve distributed my paintings in different countries: the USA, Germany, Ukraine, Belgium, Tunisia, Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. During the last few years, I’ve worked on topics such as “Women’s Rights” and “Present traditions encouraged by a mix of ancient culture and religion.” During the preparation of those series, I faced lots of interesting findings. So here, I’ve started networking with other artists. The whole idea of being part of international symposiums and projects for me is to share these valuable insights from my side and meet other artists to explore their experiences brought from diverse cultures and countries. 2022-Group Exhibition at GalerieHampel at Heidelberg, Germany 2022 - Group Exhibition at New Jorg Gallery at Kalmthout, Belgium 2022- Group Exhibition at Centre Culturel International de Hammamet, Tunisia 2022 - Group Exhibition at Wasserturm, Rhein-Neckar-Kreis, Baden-Württemberg, Germany 2022 - Group Exhibition of the Schwetzingen art initiative at Lutherhaus, Germany 2022 - Group Exhibition at Telliskivi Loomelinnak, Creative City gallery, Tallinn, Estonia 2021- Online Exhibition, Fictional Reality-Contemporary Art Residence "Tbilisi" 2021- Group exhibition at Tbilisi International Animation Festival - TIAF 2021, Georgia 2021- Digital Exhibition Week for Women Artists - Online Exhibition 2020- Online project “Home alone”- Online exhibition2019-Solo exhibition-Literary Museum 2020- Ski Competition and Gala Dinner - CCIFG- Auction 2019-Print festival - Life N Style -Wine Factory 1 2019- Group exhibition - Art gallery „Vake“ 2018- International festival "Artisterium as it is" – Karvasla Museum 2018- Festival "Address" - Batumi 2018-“ BI Auction” - Solo 2018- "Passions and rights" - Opening and awarding the exhibition.
