Kevin spent 30 years in design, having achieved an MA in Graphic Design until his passion for fine art prompted him to follow the creative imagination which had inspired him as a youngster. Currently he is Chairman of the Thames Maritime Artists and formerly Chairman of the Old Royal Naval College Art Club and The National Maritime Museum Art Club. Marine art landscape and history have always been passions, one reinforcing the other in the development of his artistic practice. His work is largely created in acrylic, oil and occasionally watercolour. An award winning artist (the "Classic Boat Prize") at the Royal Society of Marine Artists Exhibition at Mall Galleries London in 2020. He was also selected for the "Winner's" exhibition with the Federation of British Artists exhibition in 2022. More recently he was a finalist with the British Art Prize Exhibitions in 2024 and '25 at the OXO Galleries in London. His work is represented in permanent collections at the Guildhall Museum and Eastgate House in Rochester and Upnor Castle in Kent. His work is also in private collections across the UK, New York, Cape Town, Australia, New Zealand, France and the Channel Islands.
