Two girls having fun with a swing. It's Saturday. The blue color is part of the free feeling of the Saturday. All of my artworks are inspired by weathered walls with posters, peeling paint and all kinds of things in dilapidation. I try to create something new, something beautiful with these elements. This particular artwork is part of the Collages series. These collages are built up with all kinds of pictures, photos and images that I have collected over the years. I assemble original photography, assorted papers, acrylics, oil, charcoal, ink and pencil in my works. Having always loved the appearance of weathered walls plastered with peeling paint and old posters, I revive this aesthetic with hopefully a keen and professional eye. artwork, acrylic, crayon, pieces of magazine paper and pencil on underlaying digital print on canvas; the digital print is based on My original collage on paper with acrylic, ink, watercolor pencil and crayon. My artistic journey unfolds through a vibrant tapestry of materials. I weave together original photography, various papers, the richness of acrylic paint and ink with the expressive lines of pastel chalk and pencil. This diverse palette allows me to bring my vision to life, with each work being a unique exploration of texture and form. The finished mixed media/collages reveal the painstaking process that lies beneath the surface. Each layer, carefully chosen and carefully placed, becomes an integral part of the final artwork, a testament to the dedication and meticulous preparation that went into each piece. My artistic passion lies in the power of reinvention, in the ability to find unexpected beauty in the world around me. Inspired by weathered walls adorned with peeling paint and faded posters, I strive to revive and transform this aesthetic with a critical artistic eye. My ultimate goal is to capture the essence of making something beautiful out of decay, a feeling reflected in every piece of art I create. These artworks, intricate scenes born from the fusion of old and new, explore the captivating contrast between the old and the new. Each element, seamlessly woven together, contributes to the creation of dreamy and evocative images, inviting the viewer to join me on a journey of wonder and contemplation.
