SEASCAPE (FALL) Painting

I’m Constanze Waeger, a German artist born in 1980. My work centers around paintings that weave together figurative elements, abstract structures, and atmospheric qualities. I studied Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art and Film at the Edinburgh College of Art. After spending several years in film production in New York and Los Angeles, I returned to focus fully on my artistic practice in Palma de Mallorca. The female form became my muse—a powerful symbol of strength, resilience, and vulnerability. Through it, I’ve explored the complex relationship between the physical body and emotional experience. Over time, my work has evolved to form interdisciplinary connections, gradually transitioning from figuration to the abstraction found in landscapes. I transform these inspirations into a distinctive visual language of forms and structures, creating dynamic compositions that blend formalism with abstraction. Drawing from the techniques of Old Master painters, I reinterpret their traditions, expanding their expressive potential into deeply personal narratives and abstracted environments. My paintings are a meditation on nature, form, and the fluid dialogue between colors. I live and work in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.
