Ships in a Tube
A message in the bottle from the sea that silently screams for our help. Every year about 130,000,000 tons of fish are taken from seas and oceans around the world. The death of the fish is among the most atrocious and unimaginable. They are completely different animals from us, nevertheless it is trivial to believe that they are insensitive and non-communicative beings. Even if they do not scream, when they feel pain and are agonizing, they show a strong will to survive. Being inhabitants of that marine world, which does not belong to us, it is always difficult to make a total estimate of the actual non-extinct marine animals, while it is easier for the animals on the ground. We are destroying their habitat, exterminating their species, how much are we willing to destroy, kill and pollute ?! The disappearance of all marine species is expected in 2050, although we continue to eat them. We are trapped in the same network that we have thrown and soon we will not know how to get rid of it.

My name is Silvia and I've been drawing since I can remember. I completed my studies in art with a diploma in Lyceum of Art. I then graduated from the "Accademia di Belle Arti" in Rome , studying "Scenography for the Theater and performing Arts" with high grades and honors. I am a traveller and my travels inspire my Art. After many experiences working in the theater as assistant costume and set designer, I left the theater to focus on my true passion, illustrations and painting. For about ten years I have been living off my illustrations and pictorial works and my handicraft creations under the name Revers Lab. Revers is a nickname created by my friends during my studies in Rome, of having the amusing misfortune of being born with the "situs viscerum inversus", it mean all my internal organs are inverted, hence the name Revers Lab.
