This painting went through a few transitions. Underneath the shapes you can still see the beautiful history of past mark-making. I started it back in NY and had the figure in mind. It evolved into an exploration of circles and lines, it was such a freeing painting to make. Upon bringing it to Chicago, I put in the border and layered the surface with more shapes. It is a great painting that will bring fun into any room.
