ABOUT THE ARTWORK

For me, abstraction means emotions and colours. Colours influence my emotions and emotions influence the colours I use. There is no one rule where I start. It's like with an egg and a hen, which was the first... :) The sides of the canvas are painted so a frame is not necessary. I used acrylic and stretched canvas. It is ready to hang. Additional painting in the photos is for example only. It is also available for purchase and you can find it among my other artworks. Please note that the colours in the photos may vary slightly depending on your screen settings.

I am a versatile person in daily life and the same applies to my approach to art. I explore different techniques, diverse materials and subjects but my favourite theme is nature, mainly flowers. I also love geometric abstractions. For me, creating is a constant passion, pleasure and fun. When creating, I feel like a child on a playground who is interested in all toys and cannot play with just one. “She paints botanical imagery and floral elements that remind us of the flamboyant linearism of Art Nouveau (…) and the formal stylization and synthetic colourism typical of computer graphic designers. This artist’s world shows vibrant historical and artistic roots but keeps pace with the latest developments of contemporary art research. (…) Her flowers seem living, almost carnal creatures and convey a sense of vitality and of femininity.” - Elena Di Raddo, art critic and historian, Specula exhibition.
