About The Artwork

I do not know how you feel about 2016 , but it has been quite a peculiar time in my mind. A lot of my idols dropping off like Bowie, Terry Wogan, Ronnie Corbett, Mohammed Ali, Leonard Cohen and others as well. Apart from these special people passing on, we saw some rocking events that we never would have thought would happen. I am referring to winners, referendums, elections and the rest. Yeah! Wow! However, here I am around December at the time of finishing off this series of six paintings and I am still in my short sleeves. Things have really changed from thirty years ago, I am certain of that. My memories as a young lad was of me wearing a jumper (sweater) around October. Now that is odd and it is not the only big thing to think about! Some people do not believe in global warming, even some world leaders, or to be. Let us just have a look around and there is a lot else to think about. This is what my expression is about through my painting.....there are a lot of stoppers! This piece is quite symbolically straight forward I feel. You have the human profile, the alarming exclamation mark and the question mark; are we listening though? It should at least make us think not just for the now, but also for the then too. Some issues bring a lump to our throats, hard to swallow facts and are too large to gulp down. As for the six paintings, these are categorised as part of my Allegoric style which I consider as my pop-art in poster style. They are all hand painted in the same fashion (brush) and therefore originals. Here you will find additional uploaded images of each and every one for you to compare to and they all are accompanied with proof of a C.O.A. which are signed by me.So as not to distract from the image, I signed and numerated them on the back. Also, the intention is not to have them framed and they are painted neatly all around on the sides. Thank you for your interest. Zeal. P.S. Here you are able to see numbers one, two and three of the edition.

Jason is a painter and illustrator of various styles and different media for different ends. Principally a surrealistic and abstract artist, he has a fondness for satire and caricature, with a hint of humour fantasy and the whimsical. Nevertheless, there is a realistic and a sober aspect to some of his work too. His different genres of works are ongoing series which are added to from time to time, whether it is his Aviary, Abstract, Allegoric or any other style he employs. World events, social affairs and politics draw his attention, but he can be inspired by everything and anything seen, heard or felt. His expression can be direct or ambiguous. What is prevalent throughout his work is light, movement and flow, hardly any black is employed, leaning towards enlightenment.
