In this work, we can see that the background, which is also the wooden basе of artwork, is a metaphor for the dining table. The spots, smudges of diferent origin reflect this idea of our dining table as well as surrounding world. In a confined space there are two safety masks and a cup with olives - a symbol of peace and prosperity. During lockdown and social distancing period, we missed each other's physical proximity. But what did this self-isolation and wearing of safety masks has revealed to us when close people or family members remained locked at home with each other? It is possible that they always has worn these masks in relation to each other. You can see that the masks are trying to reach each other, but have frozen in this contactless moment. These masks are real readymade objects, a cup with olives is painted in oil. All work surface is covered with a layer of epoxy resin, which has been archived this time lapse for eternity. This wooden panel is very special, dates from the 1980s. It is covered by different types spots and prints that have formed and appeared during 40 years. It has taken a lot of time to collect these type of wooden panels especially for this project.

I use a mix of techniques to create my paintings. I am interested in the aesthetics of hidden, undiscovered and often invisible matters. I consider/examine personal experience, feelings and involvement in the context of historical and social events in order to find opportunities for transformation and adaptation to new living conditions. I engage with social subjects such as power, stateless status, migrations, integration, assimilation, consumption, female issues and also rituals, traditions and the ghosts of the past, inhabiting and hacking our current state of affairs.
