Being a MAD keen fisherman/builder/grandfather/artist, well you get the idea. Whilst fishing on the local beach, I was intrigued by the wind blown sand patterns and so came the idea for this piece. Honestly, as I finished this painting my darling wife ( critic extraordinaire ) said to me " Gee that looks like Sahara Sands " need i say any more!!!!!! This lightly textured painting is another of my mixed media series. The painting is on my hand made timber frame and is topped with a quality marine grade plywood. This solid frame allows me to use mixed media without any media movement or cracking. The waving lines symbolizes the wind blown sands of the Sahara desert. With the correct lighting this painting is mesmerizing, as you move across the field of view the painting changes with the refracted light. Beautiful. The painting can be hung portrait or landscape, for the same visual effect. This painting is 122 cm high and 81 cm wide and 5 cm deep. It is varnished with a subtle satin finish that enhances the color and protects the paint. On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity. It is wired ready to hang and has felt cushions to protect your walls. This painting will be shipped in a crate for your protection.
