About The Artwork
This work is part of my series of tributes to cities and places. This time it is the Sahara desert. And the search that begins with the color fields, the shapes and the balance of the composition continues. Simplifying the details to the maximum and maintaining ourselves with the experience of the plasticity of the painting on the canvas. It is acrylic with casein glue on cotton duck canvas. The canvas is stretched on a wooden frame and artwork is ready to hang. Framing is not required. It is signed on the front and back and is delivered with a certificate of authenticity.

Annabel Andrews was born in the Isle of Wight in 1940 now lives and works in El Escorial near Madrid Spain, where the colour, light and volumes of the mountains inspire her work. As also her friendship with the late Spanish artists Pablo Palazuelo and Jose Guerrero. By preparing her own canvases with home made casein glue base and zinc white the work is light and luminous ready for applying acrylic colours.
