Saint Paul Cathedral in London with the Millenium bridge. The ancient world and the modern world are gathered together. I'm not a religious person and at first I saw when I was painting the opposition between old time and recent times. Opposition between the religious and the non-believer. While I was working on it, I saw something different: Saint Paul cathedral seemed to open its arms to the people and to welcome them to pray. In these times of fear and death, the episode of coronavirus, some people have turned towards religion to pray for themselves and others. The cathedral is surrounded by a blue sky that protects it. The sky is smooth with no brush touch as usual: it's a symbol of peace and calm. Something that smoothens the spirit. The cathedral is obviously bathed in sun, like the circle of light surrounding some religious sculptures and paintings. The buildings are darker and represent the reality: their base into the earth. And then, the arms of the bridge, light, bright and welcoming. The people are not clearly defined, they are a bunch of impersonal humans, not the real topic of the painting. The painting is peaceful and bright: like a protective bubble yet, anchored in reality. ready to hang on a wall +protected by bright acrylic varnish +certificate of authenticity

French figurative painter known for bold colourful urban landscapes. Member of society of SALON D'AUTOMNE Paris Member of the Taylor Foundation, Paris Feb. 2023 PARIS (salon Les Artistes Français) March 2023 : LONDON :THE OTHER ART FAIR August 2023: TOKYO ART CENTER, JAPAN Born in the outskirts of Paris. I live and work in Paris suburbs. Living in a big city for half my life has influenced my work. I have a fascination for cities: noisy, overwhelming and lively, yet hiding people loneliness. I paint mostly urban landscapes: the interiors (shops, cafe, theatre house) full of details and colourful with very few details for the people: they are just part of the scenery. I’ve worked for the theatre for ten years and that experience gave me a love of colours, of framing my subject a certain way. I’m not looking for the exact repliqua of the reality but for an emotion I want to convey in my paintings through colors. My work is made of lots of layers of acrylic on a canvas, quick rough brush strokes and vivid colours. I use acrylic because it’s a medium that corresponds to my character: I’m impatient and this material suits me for it allows my painting a speed, a raw aspect, sometimes violent; I work in a kind of urgency.
