ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is the first in a 4-part series of works recently completed, which focus on the translucent nature of crystal clear waters, and the patterns, swirls and ripples created on the water. The sea's characteristics have been rendered in a playful and experimental way, focusing more on creating an abstract impression of water, rather than getting bogged down in the details. The aim is to imbue the viewer with a feeling of calm and relaxation, and happiness, when viewing these works. They have been inspired by the crystal-clear sea of the Aegean.
