One day, as I lay in bed, a thought came to my mind: "With heart." Since I was young, I have heard many people say that we should do things with heart, feel with heart, and live with heart. Suddenly, I realized that I didn't really know what it meant to do something "with heart." Where is my heart? My teacher once said that when a person is in a very quiet moment, they can hear the sound of their own heartbeat. That evening, I lay in bed and tried to feel my heartbeat. I discovered that as I delved deeper into the sensation, I felt as if there was something wrapped around my heart. My heart felt closed off. This feeling was both unfamiliar and familiar. The familiarity came from the fact that I was used to this sense of being closed off, while the unfamiliarity came from the fact that it was the first time I felt her presence. I think there is a protective shell encasing my heart, which makes me instinctively withdraw into myself

My name is Xue Jing, a freelance painter currently residing and working in Shanghai. My artistic inspiration stems from emotions and meditation. For me, every moment carries a unique sentiment, and when I observe things around me or listen to sounds, my body responds in a certain way. These feelings deeply move me and inspire my desire to express them through painting. My artwork can be divided into two components: color and lines. Color serves as the medium for expressing emotions. By selecting vibrant or soft palettes, I am able to convey inner joy, sadness, or tranquility. Lines, on the other hand, offer another form of expression. In an abstract manner, they capture sensations that cannot be described in words. Through my artworks, I hope to evoke emotions and touch the souls of the viewers. I believe that everyone has their own unique sensations and experiences, and my pieces aim to resonate with the depths of their inner beings.
