ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I did once look like that, really. I smouldered, I was angry, I seethed with an angst I could not understand or explain to my baffled parents and peers. I wrote excruciating poetry and cast sad all-knowing eyes on an ignorant world...I was an insufferable knob. Now I am a parent of teenagers, I realise it was a forgiveable failing...only I kept it going longer than most. In my own defence, I don't write poetry anymore. Anyway, if nothing else, I was earnest. I hope that shows in the painting. Onward, ever onward!
