About The Artwork

I have a thing for picking up odd lifelike pieces at flea markets, antique stores etc. I have this little wooden cracked egg with legs that I just adore because even though it has no face, it say so much. Every single one of us can identify with this egg because we all have cracks! We all feel like our legs are there but we havent finished hatching to our full potential at some point in our lives. This little guy gave me the inspiration to make this beautiful piece. I called it "Self Portrait" because I have cracks and flaws, I feel like im the queen of my world but still feel like I havent completely come out of my shell yet. This piece is made with acrylic paint on a 30x40 canvas. It has been Gloss Varnished and strung for hanging.
