This is a painting by Mexican artist Enrique Pichardo. It is 75 cm wide by 1 m tall, and is made of acrylic paint on canvas. The subject matter is a figure based on a pre-Hispanic mask, with simple, harmonious lines in shades of blue. The shapes and figures create a face with lips and eyes that seem to be looking at us and speaking to us. His lines evoke tales of great artists such as Joan Miró, Pablo Picasso, Piet Mondrian, Paul Klee, Jackson Pollock, José Manuel Merello, Juan Gris and Albert Gleizes. Being the style of the unique master, with a mixture of everything that he defines as Naif. Enrique Pichardo is a known exponent of Mexican contemporary expressionism. Painting like a child, painting with more expression than technique, painting with feeling over method, simply use magic and the heart is the stamp that has caught the attention of collectors around the world.

The Mexican plastic artist, Enrique Pichardo, has more than 30 years of experience as a painter. His technique and style combine artistic influences from other countries with the traditional Mexican influence. In his own words, he defines his art as naive expressionism. The plastic work of Enrique Pichardo has more than one aspect. On the one hand, he creates works that are densely populated with shapes, figures, and colors. On the other hand, he has abstracted urban landscapes with a neutral color palette that recreates everyday situations. However, the special characteristic that maintains the cohesion of all his pieces is the conviction of approaching art through a return to his childhood and his first traces. Paint like a child, paint with more expression than technique, paint with feeling over technique. The painter seeks the skillful strokes of his inner child to carry out each of his pieces.
