Setting Star Painting

Passionate, colorful and spontaneous best describes Nancy Miller's paintings in oil, acrylic and mixed media. Born into a musical family and educated in the performing and visual arts, Nancy has been on both sides of her paintings- on the stage as a the performer and off the stage as a viewer. A versatile artist, Nancy enjoys using non-traditional materials and bold color to stretch that artistic response through rich surfaces of paint. Her desire is to tap into the emotions of the viewer. Although Nancy does not consider myself a realist, for sixteen years she has had a successful business, painting murals in Vail and Aspen Colorado depicting the state's magnificent beauty. The Rocky Mountain outdoor scene with the majestic mountains, abundant wildlife and gorgeous aspen trees have been her subject matter. She's also traveled to Los Angeles, CA, New York, NY, Houston, TX and the US Virgin Islands to paint her murals. Nancy now resides in Sarasota, FL where she is exploring her true passion in abstract expressionism. Her current body of work is influenced by nature and inspired by music.
