About The Artwork
The figures in the piece are inspired by the piece Marina Abramovic and Ulay piece, "Relation in Time." This work was created after Ulay passed in 2020 and was also the start of the pandemic. The figures represent myself battling the light and dark of the world having a collective experience. The work also incorporates the Jungian psychology of the shadow self. The shadow is the unknown dark side of our personality that is often hidden in our subconscious.
