ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I am exploring profound and symbolic oppositions and dualities. Elements such as "the masculine and feminine," "order and chaos," "light and shadow," "belief and blind spot," "right brain and left brain," "the West and the East," "the past and the future," and "the inner and outer" are enduring themes in philosophy, religion, psychology, and culture. The idea of unifying such opposing elements has been central to many thinkers and religious traditions throughout history. For example, the Taoist concept of yin and yang, as well as Hegel's dialectical development, both embody the idea that opposing forces integrate to bring about a new stage or completeness. In the 2015 series depicting beings like angels or extraterrestrial entities, the image of "ribbon-shaped glasses" symbolizes the division of the world into left and right, while simultaneously integrating them. The idea that these glasses divide the world, yet ultimately unify it through their vision, echoes fundamental questions about the role and purpose of human existence. The perspective of humans as beings tasked with integrating these two opposing elements is reminiscent of Carl Jung’s concept of *individuation*. According to Jung, individuals achieve a higher level of self by integrating the conflicting aspects within themselves. Imagining this integration not only on an earthly, physical level but extending into spiritual and cosmic dimensions offers a new perspective on human existence and evolution. The integration I propose suggests the possibility of a process that transcends the physical world on Earth and occurs on a much larger, cosmic scale. This idea seems to be connected to spiritual exploration, inner awakening, and even a vision of transcendent unity. Exploring how this process of integration unfolds and how it impacts humanity and the universe as a whole promises to be a profoundly intriguing journey.

SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Delivery Time:

Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

For me, art is about embodying beliefs while at the same time shedding light on the 'blind spots (shadows)' behind those beliefs. I need to look at everything that shapes my beliefs. Some beliefs contain biased information due to social conventions, education, and sometimes even brainwashing. What I thought was light can also be darkness if I change my perspective. The challenge is how to make the two coexist."
