About The Artwork

Shubatiki is a reflection on music as energy vibration permeating through a space. Created on loose, flowing cotton fabric, large strokes of blue paint permeate as waves through a field of orange stripes. The painting invites the viewer to reflection upon the concept of energy as the unifying force between everything in the universe. The painting has been created using the highest-quality archival acrylic paint on an un-stretched cotton fabric. It is intended to be hung un-stretched on a wall using clips. The UV light is not included with the artwork and must be purchased separately (easily available on Amazon).

Loose, translucent textiles and ancient ceremonies form the foundation for Seth’s large abstract paintings. Seth grew up in the cosmopolitan city of Dubai, where converging nationalities and cultures led to a fascination with pluralism. Javanese Batik, Peruvian Shipibo patterns, and Tibetan Sand Mandalas have all influenced the artist’s vision, which seeks to integrate creativity and spirituality. To that end, Seth has hosted workshops that combine art, music, and yoga in partnership with organizations such as Dubai Culture, Aisha Al Abbar Gallery, and Nasab KOA Canvas. He has also held talks at Heriot Watt University, Dubai and Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar that challenge future generations to take creative responsibility, not just individual nations, but for the entire world. As a third generation-artist, Seth received his Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from Cornell University, and his work has been exhibited most recently at Dubai Design District and Kevala Foundation, India.
