Siamese 11 Painting

This piece is only available through my website . Payment plans still available. I completed this piece between April and July of 2017. This period was marked with a handful of trying experiences which drove me inwards as a way to reflect on my potential, my strength, and my grit. Some of the journal entries from the time that speak to some of these reflections include: -"Strength is not only about standing up for what we believe is right. It is also about not letting bad situations instill us with fear or break us. The bad moments are just as important as the good ones because those are the ones that shape us, strengthen us, and prepare us for whatever is ahead." (June 2017) -"Often times we cross paths with people who want to limit and define us based on what They believe to be possible. It's a trap. Only we can decide our potential and how far we are willing to go." (July 2017) The painting includes hanging hardware, and is hand-signed on the back. It is a unique piece - no prints are available. About the Siamese series: Three years in the making, the Siamese series was inspired by the strong, yet flowing nature of Siamese fighting fish. I created this body of work with the goal of making it the transition from a full-time job working with technology startups in Silicon Valley to one where art, my calling, would take the center stage. Therefore, the whole series evolved in parallel to the mental and emotional journey of pursuing a goal regardless of obstacles and difficulty. The colorful brushstrokes are meant to convey the vivacious and flowing nature of Siamese fighting fish; and, the meticulous metal patchwork is meant to resemble thousands of scales, but most importantly, the armor and strength of a warrior. ​ 10% of the net proceeds of my art are invested in nonprofits that support economic development, and mental health.
