About The Artwork
I painting this from photos I took of a life painting art class in Berkeley California. The students were painting from a live model, but I replaced it with a skeleton. I painted from a plastic replica. It's a Triptych. In the middle I painted students painting the skeletons as self portraits. In the right-hand panel they are painting the skeleton hanging, as it exists. In the left-hand panele i painted the skeletons painting the people, and even a skeleton giving birth. The idea is that all people are the same beneath their skin. This piece has been featured on the cover of Redivider Magazine and anthology published by Emerson University 2024. and in side and as the cover art on Penumbric, December 2022 and the Best of Penumbric Speculative Fiction Mag, Vol vi: June 22 to April 202023
