About The Artwork

Sick of it all / Fertig mit der Welt / Ya no puedo más Wars are necessary for the development of mankind and are therefore not always bad - with this provocative thesis, the historian Ian Morris of Stanford University in the United States makes people sit up and take notice in his current work. And while in prehistoric times ten to twenty percent of people died a violent death, in the 20th century it would have been only 0.7 percent despite major wars and genocides. For me, this number is unimaginably low, it may well be, but for the individual affected, wars are absolute, real hell on earth, then you are literally DONE WITH THE WORLD (sick of it all). Twenty years of war in Afghanistan have produced thousands of deaths, but have changed practically nothing in the conditions there, on the contrary, they are now apparently again marching towards the Middle Ages. History evidently repeats itself over and over again ... and I think we artists should address this terrible topic again and again in one way or another and try to fight against this senselessness.

In the world of art, inspiration knows no bounds. For me, the canvas is a portal to a myriad of influences, where dreams intertwine with daily news, historical echoes, and serendipitous encounters. Each stroke of the brush is a dance between the tangible and the ethereal, a journey through the tapestry of existence. Drawing from the rich tapestry of life itself, I find inspiration in the most unexpected places. Whether it's a fleeting dream, a headline from the daily news, or a whisper from history, every source is a thread in the intricate fabric of creativity. With a keen eye for nuance, I try to uncover fresh perspectives even in the most time-worn tales, breathing new life into forgotten narratives. To me, life is a grand game of chance, an ever-unfolding narrative ripe with laughter and irony. With a mischievous twinkle in their eye, I invite viewers to revel in the absurdities of life, to find humor in the mundane and beauty in the chaos.
