Silence No.1 is part of the ever evolving Chiffon Series. With these works, I am creating an abstracted perception of light filtering / moving through elements derived from nature...delicate leaves, tangled foliage and meshed tree branches. It's an essence, illusion and careful impression of natural life. Silence No.1 has very subtle, delicate color shifts and dramatic textures...created by being worked over and over to develop countless layers that I am pleased to see push forward and pull back. I love that you can see through these frothy like woven plants that float in a time-fractured space of light and depth. {+} Painted on heavy weight canvas with oil and acrylic {+} Will be carefully packaged including a pH neutral barrier to protect the surface {+} Sides of the painting cleaned and painted black so it is not entirely necessary to frame the work if you choose not to.
