Mi nombre es García Mar, soy artista visual, vivo y trabajo en Buenos Aires. Acerca de mi trabajo: Observando una obra envuelta para su protección vi como la pintura sobre tela parecía querer adelantar su presencia e invadir el pluribol. En el proceso se produjo un dialogo y enfrentamiento estructural entre pintura y soporte, donde el nylon perdió su funcionalidad y su naturaleza al pasar a ser pictórico, con cambios de trama, burbujas cortadas y a medio cortar; signos del paso del pincel y de las huellas del oleo y donde el formato de la obra se adapto a la nueva geometría. Lo que se suponía un material descartable y momentáneo, parte del mundo del arte, (sobre todo del mundo de los talleres y de los artistas) pero destinado a cumplir otra función se convirtió en la verdadera piel de mis obras. La idea de reciclar el nylon y su perdurabilidad ( no se degrada por el entorno, no se oxida o descompone con el tiempo, se calcula que tarda entre 150 y 500 años en hacerlo) me llevo a pensar en el futuro y a convertir estas obras en mensajes abstractos para las siguientes generaciones donde la simbología es la materialidad, el color, las texturas, la trama; de la misma forma que lo hicieron los relieves, calizas, kudurrus y demás objetos del pasado. Imagino y creo estas obras como reliquias del futuro.
