About The Artwork
In the depths of winter I must think spring! so these abstract flowers bursting out of the canvas came into my head and I want to share them with my viewers to foster hope that spring will eventually come. I painted with a palette knife on the flat side and some strokes with the pointed end. I used acrylic paint which dries quickly so that I could paint many layers without waiting for oil paint to dry in between. The work is wired for hanging, the edges are painted so that no frame is required. I leave that choice to the new owner.
