Picture from the series "From Ukraine with love". Occupied Kherson is waiting for liberation. We are cut off from Ukraine, from the world, from relatives and friends who are fleeing from the invasion of "darkness", "destruction", "devastation". Creativity also helps to find meaning and not give up. With thoughts of our persistent guys from the armed forces of Ukraine, I start my small victories in order not to give up, every day in the occupation. My Venus is made in gray, camouflage shades against the background of a ruined city. The female image is complemented by abandoned dolls that convey horror and pain for the dead children. A modest, vulnerable female nature, a mother is vulnerable, she needs to be protected, preserved, she needs care. Watercolors can create unique combinations of painting styles. She can be dry in classic looks; spread with shades, play with spots like in impressionism, be strict graphic and decorative. I love watercolor for its elusiveness, danger, unpredictability. I find these traits in the female image as well. The painting combines elements of graphics and wet watercolors. Every day I fight for freedom, for knowledge, for the opportunity to realize myself. This is difficult to do in peacetime, and when volleys of weapons and explosions rumble, people die, families are divided, the earth is on fire - it is very difficult to be aware. Continue to create when bursting with anger and hatred for the invaders, occupiers and your future is in darkness. At such times, the artificial and alien falls off, I was left with myself. I don’t know how long I can live, but my goals and aspirations serve as a beacon for me to continue to work, to develop.

Hello ! I am an artist from Ukraine. I draw and painting from early childhood. Creativity - my whole life. In my work, I am inspired by the world around me: nature, the female image, the architecture of cities, the sea. I like to express my understanding of the world and what is happening through symbolism in paintings. In my paintings I often use stylization, ornaments, collages of figures, flowers, architecture. The female image is the most important for me in painting. In my work, I am inspired by the surrounding world: nature, the female image, the architecture of cities, the sea. I like to express my feelings and understanding through symbolism in the paintings. I love watercolor for its elusiveness, danger, unpredictability. I find these traits in the female image as well. Watercolors are delicate, unpredictable, you never know how the paint will lay on paper, how the colors will flow and mix. I love to create series of paintings that inspire me: woman, flowers, Renaissance, Impressionism, Art Nouveau. Watercolor is my whole life! It is light, airy, momentary - as the paint lay down, so it will be. Therefore, when you create a picture, you don’t fully know how it will end up. I often draw tender, vulnerable female images, as I myself have been subjected to sexism, humiliation, pressure due to the fact that I am a woman. I myself fought for my freedom of expression, I am proud that I am an artist. With my painting, I inspire people to search for beauty around us. I take part in art exhibitions. I never expect inspiration in my life! It is always with me. My motto is beauty, light, harmony in every work! I have been painting since birth. I studied for many years and still do not stop improving in painting. I always said that I would create under the bombs. And now this time has come. And yes, I continue to work. Only now I'm sitting with a brush, and inside I'm squeezing from anger, pain, resentment. Many of us fight in different ways: someone with a gun, someone with a word, someone with creativity. I loved symbolism and now I am trying to convey the bright image of Ukraine with gray, dark colors. .larina.art
