ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My friend's granddaughter is half-Japanese, a highly successful model and is the face of Chanel in Japan. Having just re-read the James Clavell novels Shogun and Gai-Jin my head was full of samurai imagery, so I was inspired to combine those with a modern Japanese image to depict a strong woman with plenty of attitude. Painted 2020, acrylic on stretched canvas, edges painted, signed on front, will be supplied with certificate of authenticity and packaged securely for delivery in a cardboard box.
