From the series "It Was All Made for You". "It Was All Made For You" (2017) is a major new body of work which responds to the human relationship with the natural world, defined variously by enjoyment, destruction, and stewardship. Amit Greenberg has drawn comparisons between the specter of a world drained of color and the world which we are currently witnessing where proactive efforts to promote sustainability are required to curb increasing pollution of the environment. Ever playful in nature, Amit’s Pop Surrealist work invited visitors to step inside an immersive pop surrealist environment, don a mantle of stewardship, and paint a vibrant vision of the future—full of bright, sustainable color. The canvas works created for this installation are for sale on Saatchi Art.

An original thinker that lends new perspectives through his interpersonal exchanges, dialogue, and art-making. His ability to create and uniquely inform his art through design methods and principles has impressive and intriguing results. As an artist he is tireless, diverse and inventive; he finds use in color, objects, and messages in addition to his ability to find a concept to create an experience beyond the known and familiar. His work is playful, and his creative skills can be seen in many different fields. With evolving techniques and static themes, my process is an active exploration of spirituality, sexuality, mortality, fear and joy; woven together through art and design. I strive to create a playful world; the viewer is encouraged to indulge and get lost in multi-dimensional work. The deeper the inspection, the greater the reward. I started working on the series A Fine Black Line in the summer of 2011 in Paris. While I have worked on some other projects since then, I keep coming back to my practice of narrative line drawings. My process is inspired by the surrealist automatic writing technique and translated into ink drawings. A mix of philosophy, humor, facts and innermost thoughts ow from my mind to my hand, and onto the paper – in a tenuous balance between freedom and restraint. Each shape ignites my imagination for the next figure, object or text that will complement its neighbor like a puzzle piece. The result is an elaborate tableau of fictitious characters and scenarios, projecting a cacophony of voices eager to be heard.
