Art Description

Painting: Acrylic, Fabric, stitching and Pastel on Soft (Yarn, Cotton, Fabric) and Wood.

Part of the show Cats and Ladders, this painting was first conceived as a small illustration for a show about sewing. Later, I enlarged and and changed the image, trying to amp up the hypnotic and directless zone of this thought. The quote is a cut out from some text my father wrote. randomly put together, much like in the tradition of William Burroughs cut outs. Somewhere between an epiphany and a brown study, 'Somewhere Anything Might Be Happening' is both liberating and overwhelming.
